This delightful coming of age epic journey is populated with magical creatures of every kind with a major player being a unicorn. Now I am all grown up here and if you had told me I would sit spellbound reading the adventures of unicorns, dryads, trolls, lurks, dragons and a variety of other strange folks, I would have laughed at you. But I munched through this book candy in a reading marathon. The protagonist develops from a whiny abused hypochondriac driven by fear to an epic hero. And it is all so very wonderfully crafted by Secchia. This is such a talented author. Glad I found him on a Kindle promotional offer. I have since read everything he has written and am a devoted follower.Product details

excellent tale woven together in such a way as to draw the reader deeper and deeper into the story a must read
Lovely myth where earth knowledge becomes magic in a world without science. The merging of the two, magic and science creates a story of wonder.
I liked the story ok but it was really had to read with all the weird names of people and places. I don't read much fantasy but this seemed unusually complicated. It was also long. The writing was professional seemed well edited.
Truly loved this one. Fantasy is really great. You can see so many of your friends in there. And always yourself. Great characters. And wonderful story will keep your attention to the last page.
A little slow at first but well worth plugging your way through the first several chapters. A beautiful world of creative well-developed characters and settings. Thoroughly enjoyable. Didn't want it to end.
If you don't like a long read comprised of pure fantasy, don't bother. If you do then this is right up your unicorn alley. Lots of character development, combined with a beautifully constructed alternative universe and a most unusual romance, make this a lot of fun.
